Welcome to My Journey

This blog documents the awakening of my sixth sense and the incredible adventures to follow. The blog also reaches out to others who are interested in or who may be experiencing a similar other-worldliness and who, like me, are trying to figure it all out. There are no set answers in here, but plenty of questions and stories that will make you wonder. Come muse with me!

It's All Around You

My husband has a “sense” about things. Before the “big bang”, we attributed his keen sense of awareness to street smarts from growing up on the streets of Naples, Italy. Now, we’re not so sure. In the beginning, he did not believe in what I was experiencing and told me flat out he was not interested. Finally, months later he agreed to listen. Then, he began reading my blog. And now, he recognizes his own psychic awareness for what it is. Sometimes, you might not realize you are doing something because you haven’t labeled or identified it. But once you see it described and talked about, you realize you’ve been doing it all along. How funny is that?! To go from non-believer to “I’m the same way” – seems like quite a stretch, but maybe that’s what being open to things does to a person. Once you agree to open up, the sky’s the limit.

My husband recently negotiated a new car lease. He came home with a nicer model than his previous lease without having to pay much more for it. As always with big purchases, he questioned whether or not he made the right decision. Even though we ran the numbers and determined he got a great deal on the car, he still felt unsure.

A few days later, he was sitting in traffic and looked around him. He was surrounded by a ring of black cars. All different makes and models and all black. Where we live, cars are mostly white and beige. Then, he picked up a single black stone in our walkway. The black stone was the only one of its kind in a sea of white rocks and coral. And finally, while rollerblading he noticed a black hair band on the sidewalk in front of him and picked that up as well.

He came to me with these coincidences and said that he notices when things are unusual. All of these findings were unusual to him. He asked me to interpret their meaning. He also recalled that he had been in car accidents with the two white cars he’d owned in the past.

I took the circular black symbols to be a sign of protection and reassurance. I told him he made the right decision to lease his black car and that it was a symbol of protection. My later meditations confirmed these interpretations. In metaphysics, black is considered a protective color.

The higher-ups send us signs all the time. Once you become aware of them, you’ll begin to notice them pop up here and there. These signs are clues that can keep us on track, let us know we are making decisions that will serve us well. I suspect it works the other way, too. When things are not going well, it’s time to re-evaluate what we’re doing.

Sensing - just another level of awareness that can help us navigate the game called life.
